Yes. The group owner can mark any member's debt as settled up, which is handy when a payment happened offline and you just need the group to reflect it.

Yes. As the group owner you receive an email when a member confirms their review, so you know when the group is ready to be locked. You can turn this off in your notification settings.

Yes. When a member marks their debt to you as settled up, we email you about it. This follows your settlement notification setting.

Yes. In your notification settings you can turn on the daily digest. Instead of an email for each event, we buffer the activity across your groups and send you one summary email per day.

The digest is off by default - until you enable it you keep receiving an immediate email for each event. The summary only includes the notification types you have left enabled. Time-sensitive emails such as your sign-in code and friend invitations are always sent immediately and are never held back for the digest.

However you can set up your payment information in your settings so your friends will see for instance your IBAN every time they are going to hit "Settle up" button.

By default an expense is split equally between the members you select. When adding or editing an expense you can switch to custom shares and give each person a weight - for example 1 / 2 / 3 splits the amount into sixths. Amounts that don't divide evenly are rounded to the nearest cent and always add back up to the total.

When an amount doesn't divide evenly, the leftover cents are distributed deterministically rather than at random. We give each extra cent to the members whose exact share was rounded down the most, so the split always adds back up to the original amount.

For example, splitting €1 between 3 members gives €0.33 each, and the remaining €0.01 goes to one member by that rule.

The limit exists because of a decision made when we architected the service to be optimized for cost.

In real life you probably don't need to own more than 25 active groups at a single time.

The limit applies only to the groups you own (the ones you created). You can be a member of as many groups as you like - being added to someone else's group never counts against your limit.

You can still own more than 25 groups in total - whenever you archive a group it no longer counts against this limit.

Archived groups will be deleted after 3 months automatically.

You can download the data of an archived group at any time.

Currently you can select either € or $ currency when you are creating your group.

This currency does nothing special it is just a symbol which is shown in front of your expenses.

We've tried it without currency but it looked weird, hence you get to choose from two currency symbols.

For each group you can select your prefered currency.

Unfortunatelly there is no currency conversions and selection of currency just means that the symbol will be shown next to any money value.

Display name of each user is not cross-checked with other users hence multiple users might choose same name.

This may introduce some confusion when two users which picked the same name are in the same group. Since the display name can be changed in the settings we recommend you to ask your friends to come up with unique nicknames.

Yes. The first time you sign in we ask you to review and accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before you start using the app. It is a one-time step - once you accept, you go straight to your groups on future sign-ins.
